Enshin Karate  

The only competition in an Enshin Karate Dojo is within the student, to try to be the best he or she can be. Enshin Karate is for anyone who is interested in learning and willing to work at it. The strategy and techniques are designed to be effective regardless of size, age or gender. An Enshin dojo is dedicated to the traditional values of courtesy, respect, and challenge as a way to develop and improve oneself.

 

 

 

The Technique

Enshin Karate is a practical system of empty- handed self-defense based on a strategy of circular movement allowing you to use your opponent’s power and momentum against him or her. This strategy known as "SABAKI", enables its practitioner to convert defense into offence using circular movement to the outside of an attack.

Cooper Sikkes - 2026 Spirit Award Winner

 

One of the highlights of the tournament was Cooper Sikkes being awarded the prestigious 2026 Spirit Award. Presented to the competitor who best exemplifies courage, determination, and fighting spirit, this honour is a fitting recognition of Cooper's relentless work ethic and unwavering commitment throughout the event. His performance both on and off the mat demonstrated the true spirit of Enshin Karate and made everyone associated with our team immensely proud.

 

We are so proud of Marcus Kardas, who fulfilled a lifelong dream by capturing the 2026 World Middleweight Championship. Marcus' victory was the culmination of countless hours of training, sacrifice, discipline, and perseverance. His championship winning performance showcased not only his technical skill and fighting ability but also the dedication he has shown throughout his martial arts journey.
